9:00 to 17:00, Monday through Saturday

  • Services will be limited on Saturdays.
  • In the academic year of 2017-2018, we have classes and open the office on the following holidays:
    July 17, October 9, October 21 and November 23
  • In the academic year of 2017-2018, we do not have classes and close the office on the following days:
    May 1, May 2, November 2, November 4 and November 5

The summer and winter break:
9:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday

The summer break period: August 4 – September 20

Office Summer Holidays:
The office will be closed from August 14th to 18th.

The winter break period: December 23 – January 5, 2018

Office Winter Holidays:
The office will be closed from December 28th to January 5th, 2018.

FAQ for Admissions

We are informed of frequently asked questions and answers about the entrance examination. When thinking about going on to university etc, we will also inform you of the information on this page (Japanese Site).


Q1. Is there a English based program?
A1. No. We have a Japanese based program only.
However,the Global Japanese Literary and Cultural Studies(Global-J Doctoral Program)
(Global-J Master’s Program to be launched by April 2021)use both English and Japanese languages.
We will conduct hybrid research and educational activities.

Q2. Is there a September enrollment?
A2. No. April only.
However,  Global-J applicants choose to enroll starting in either April or September.

Q3. Are there the pluriannual admission exams?
A3. No. Admission exam is once in a year at each(master, doctoral) programs.

Q4. Is there a  acceptance of a research student?
A4. No. However, We have a non-degree student admission exam.

Q5. How do I contact to the faculty?
A5.  At first, please search your hope faculty on the Waseda University Researchers Database.
