In November 2023 (23-24), Professor Detey Co-organized the (I)PFC2023 International Conference in Paris (Maison de la Norvège, CIU) and Presented a paper with Dr Fontan about the Lexical Predictions of Phonetic Confusion among Japanese learners of French.
The (I)PFC conference is one of the leading conferences in French corpus-based (inter)phonology in the world, and it has taken place every year since 2003 (except for 2020-2021). It is now co-organized by the current Board of Directors of the PFC research program, Helene N. Andreassen (University of Tromsø, Norway), Olivier Baude (CNRS/University of Paris-Ouest, France), Marie-Hélène Côté (Lausanne University, Switzerland), Sylvain Detey (Waseda University, Japan), Julien Eychenne (University of Sherbrooke, Canada), Elissa Pustka (Vienna University, Austria), Isabelle Racine (Geneva University, Switzerland).
