Have you ever had trouble with running out of battery power when using your smartphone for classes, seminars, circle activities, job hunting, etc.? You definitely want to have a mobile battery.
With the cooperation and support of Saga Prefecture, the birthplace of Shigenobu Okuma, we have prepared 1,500 mobile batteries with the original logo of “Waseda’s Sacred Place Saga”. The first 1500 people to arrive will receive one. Limit 1 per person.
Another Chance! Let’s go to Saga!
Three winners will be selected by drawing for a round-trip ticket from Haneda Airport to Saga Airport and an admission ticket to the Shigenobu Okuma Memorial Museum. Waseda University and the Saga Prefectural Government will conduct a strict drawing and contact the winners. Contact is scheduled for early November.

What is the “Waseda University’s Sacred Place Saga” Campaign?
Shigenobu Okuma, the founder of Waseda University, was a great man who left a significant mark on the Meiji Restoration and modernization of Japan by establishing the yen as the currency, building Japan’s first railroad, and forming a political party, in addition to serving as prime minister twice.
Because of Shigenobu Okuma’s ties to Saga Prefecture, Waseda University and Saga Prefecture signed a comprehensive agreement in 2006 and have been engaged in various exchange programs.
Since 2018, Saga Prefecture has been implementing the “Waseda’s Sacred Place Saga” creation project to promote Saga Prefecture, the birthplace of Shigenobu Okuma, as the University’s “sacred place.
Waseda University’s Cultural Promotion Division and Saga Prefecture have joined forces to jointly plan the “Waseda Culture and Arts Week. The “Search for Waseda Bear in Saga Prefecture! VR Tour” will also introduce the charms of Saga Prefecture. Please check it out as well.
