On November 28, 2025, President Frédérique Berrod and Vice President Birte Wassenberg of the University of Strasbourg, France, visited Waseda University. Since signing an agreement in 2013, the two universities have fostered academic collaboration and student exchanges.

During the meeting, the University of Strasbourg presented the latest trends in academic collaboration in Europe and its international strategy. Waseda University shared its initiatives in the European region and its policies for cultivating global citizens.

On December 10th, staff members from the International Affairs Office visited as well to discuss future student exchange programs. On the same day, an information session was held for students planning to study at the University of Strasbourg next year. During the session, staff introduced the university and provided details about classes, dormitories, the support system, and the buddy program that connects international students with local students. Students who had recently returned from studying abroad also participated, sharing their memories in both French and English.
