On September 20, the September 2020 graduation ceremony for undergraduates, graduate students and students from the Art and Architecture School were held at the Okuma Auditorium. This was a joint graduation ceremony held also for those graduated in March earlier this year, during which the graduation ceremony was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
As part of the measures against the spread of the coronavirus, it was unfortunate that the University could only invite representatives from each school to attend and witness the graduation ceremony this year.
Nevertheless, on behalf of all faculty and staff, the University would like to send its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 2020. All the best of luck on your future endeavors!

About the background music
The coronavirus has changed the daily lives of individuals and many are still trying to adapt to the new normal. In the midst of this challenging year, the background music (Soshite Konpeki no Sora e) used in the top video was created by a group of alumni with the hope to brighten the spirits of the streets in Waseda and the community. The University has specially picked this music for the video hoping that it would give encouragement to our graduates this year as they encounter and overcome the obstacles ahead.
Produced by SHARP#, the background music was written and composed by Katsuhiko Sugiyama, an alumnus who graduated from the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
