Waseda campus, July 6 and 7

Waseda’s summer uchimizu event was held at Waseda campus in front of Building 10. Uchimizu is a Japanese, seasonal tradition of sprinkling water in gardens and streets for refreshment from the summer’s humidity. Participants enjoyed the performances by “Odorizamurai,” “Tokyo Hana-bi,” and “Kaiju Doumei.”

This event was hosted by the Atom Currency Organization. The Organization promotes a local currency called “Atom” created in the Waseda/Takadanobaba area. You can use this currency in Building 7’s Macheria, the University’s co-op, or the approximately 200 member stores in the community.
