Waseda Vice President and President of Italy attend anniversary of Venice International University

On October 30, Vice President of Waseda, Professor Norimasa Morita, attended a ceremony with President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Venice International University’s (VIU) founding. VIU is an international center for higher education and research in Venice, Italy. Waseda is the only Japanese university among VIU’s sixteen member universities and all VIU courses are offered by professors from member universities and open to Waseda students.
The ceremony was held at the Quirinale Palace in Rome, the official residence of the President of Italy. Other attendees included the Dean and Vice Dean of VIU, the Dean of Tel Aviv University, and the Dean of the University of Venice.
