On October 18, Waseda University conferred an Honorary Doctorate upon Dr. Chao-Yol Koo, the 33rd President of the Korea University Alumni Association. Many people from Korea University and Waseda attended the ceremony at Aizu Museum.

About the Waseda University Honorary Doctorate
An honorary doctorate is conferred to those who have achieved significant distinction is academia, culture, and other areas contributing to humanity. Waseda University has awarded 152 honorary doctorates thus far, including to Dr. Koo.
