Online Talk Session: Who Does “Diversity” Belong To? Johnson & Johnson FAMILY OF COMPANIES IN JAPAN’s diversity and inclusion (Nov.12) Student Diversity Center Collaboration Event 2020 Vol. 4

Poster

“No one left behind.”

Recently phrases like this have been echoing throughout society.
In 2015 it was one of the slogans of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) that were adopted by the United Nations.

But what can we do to ensure “no one is left behind”?
In recent years, there have been proactive moves to incorporate diversity aspect of organisation like “Diversity Management” and “Diversity and Inclusion (D&I)” into management practice which have attracted a lot of attention.

Now the ICC will host a talk session to introduce the efforts of the Japanese subsidiary  of the Johnson & Johnson FAMILY OF COMPANIES IN JAPAN which practices sustainable corporate management by proactively using the diversity of its employees in its management practices.
You can delve deeper into the ways that diversity works and the challenges by looking at what efforts are being made on the ground in actual businesses!

During the 2nd half of the event, the student staff of the ICC, which is a part of the Student Diversity Center (SDC) along with the Office for Students with Disabilities and the GS Center, will ask questions and exchange opinions with the speakers. What surprising differences and similar challenges are there between their “Business x Diversity” initiative and our own “University x Diversity”?!

Of course, there will be time for participants to ask questions directly as well.
So if you have a question, don’t hesitate! Ask away!

Sign up now and join us for this interesting topical talk.
