The ICC organizes a wide range of events and activities throughout the year. These include casual Cafe-style events, Talk Session lectures, music and dance performances, Sports Tournaments and Field Trips, to name a few. With such variety, you’re sure to find something that interests you!
Also, in accordance with the “Waseda University Promotion of Diversity Declaration” from the Waseda University Office for Promotion of Equality and Diversity, the ICC is committed to creating “an environment in which all members of the University, their dignity and their diverse values and lifestyles being respected, can make the most of their individuality and abilities, regardless of sex, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity, nationality, ethnicity, creed, age, and so on.”

(Academic Staff, Research Associate, Administrative Staff, Visiting Scholar, Visiting Research Fellow, Research Intern, etc.)

We welcome your ideas for new and exciting cultural events. Introduce your country’s culture and traditions to the University community! You can also get involved as a supporter for events proposed by ICC Student Staff Leaders.
Planning an event will involve many tasks and responsibilities such as promotion, liaison work, negotiation with sponsors, coordination, in-event facilitation and more. How much responsibility you take on is up to you.
Being a Student Staff Leader is an opportunity to work on campus while learning useful skills such as event planning, leadership, and business etiquette.
