Participating in Events

The ICC organizes a wide range of events and activities throughout the year. These include casual cafe-style Talk Sessions, music and dance performances, Sports Tournaments and Field Trips, to name a few. With such variety, you’re sure to find something that interests you!

Also, from July 1st 2017 in accordance with the “Waseda University Promotion of Diversity Declaration” as issued by the Waseda University Office for Promotion of Equality and Diversity this center vows to conduct activities to create and preserve “an environment in which all members of the University, their dignity and their diverse values and lifestyles being respected, can make the most of their individuality and abilities, regardless of sex, disability, sexual orientation and gender identity, nationality, ethnicity, creed, age, and so on.”

Engaging in Events as a Supporter

Language Supporter

Do you want to meet new people?
Do you want to teach your native language?
Then register to be an ICC Language Event Supporter and share your language with your fellow students!

This is a great chance to make new contacts on campus and connect with others who speak your language. Whether you help out every week, every month or even just once a semester, is up to you!

Supporters we are recruiting will be posted on the Top Page under “Upcoming Events.”

Event Supporter

We welcome your ideas for new and exciting cultural events. Introduce your country’s culture and traditions to the University community! You can also get involved by becoming an event supporter for events proposed by ICC Student Staff Leaders.

Planning an event will involve many tasks and responsibilities such as event promotion, liaison work, negotiation with sponsors, actual event facilitation and coordination, and more. How much responsibility you take on is up to you.

Student Staff Leaders (SSL)

Becoming a Student Staff Leader provides you with an opportunity to work on campus while learning such beneficial skills as event planning, leadership, and business etiquette.

We recruit new SSL a few times every year. We look forward to receiving your application.
