One of Waseda’s most exciting sports events is the Tokyo Big6 Baseball League.
The sight of so many people coming together as one to cheer on their team is one of the highlights of the game, and the stadium is packed with students every year.
Now the ICC has teamed up with the Waseda University Cheerleading Club to create an event where you can feel the supporter culture of Waseda by going to watch the Tokyo Big6 Baseball game between Waseda and Hosei, the “Souhousen”.
Members of the cheerleading club will give a lecture about everything from the lyrics of Waseda chants to the history of the club in both Japanese and English so you can enjoy supporting Waseda even if it’s your first Tokyo Big6 Baseball game.
Don’t worry about applying by yourself! Linking arms and singing songs like the Waseda school anthem and “Azure Sky” (Waseda Cheering Song No. 1), you’ll soon overcome any shyness. You can enjoy singing together with everyone to support the team!
If you want to make a lot of new friends, if you want to experience the supporter culture of Waseda or if you just enjoy a good baseball game, we’re waiting for your application.
You’ll forget about everything else as you enjoy cheering on Waseda!
