Gender and Sexuality CenterWaseda University

Student staff members host smaller events related to gender and sexuality in the GS Center’s community space, approximately two times per month.  Since the academic year 2020, the GS Center has also hosted remote events using online platforms.

We invite guests and provide lectures or panel discussion events one to two times per semester. We also collaborate with the ICC (Intercultural Communication Center) and the Office for Students with Disabilities to organize events as the Student Diversity Center.

The GS Center is also open to collaborating with various organizations on and off campus for co-hosting events, so please contact us if your organization is interested!

The GS Center provides introductory training on gender and sexuality, and reports on the activities of the GS Center mainly to the Waseda campus community. By providing such training, the GS Center hopes to contribute to raising the campus members’ literacy levels on issues related to gender and sexuality, as well as establish systems of intra-university collaboration.
