Withdrawal (JLP)

If a student desires to withdraw from their program mid-semester or a student in a one-year program desires to withdraw after their first semester, they must complete the withdrawal procedures at the CJL office.

The following items must be submitted to the CJL office:

(1) Application for Withdrawal

You can obtain the application format at the CJL office or download it from the link below. Please fill it out with your signature and your guarantor’s signature, and submit it to the CJL office in person or by email.

*If a one-year program student desires to withdraw at the end of their first semester, their program termination date should be stated as March 15 (the end of Fall Semester) or September 15 (the end of Spring Semester). In this way, they will receive grades and credits for their first semester.
*If a student withdraws from their program mid-semester, they will not receive grades or credits for the semester.

(2) Statement of Reason

This can be in any format. Please include your name, student ID number, submission date and a brief statement to explain the reason for your withdrawal.
“Certificate of Admission” is acceptable for those who are going to enroll in other departments, graduate schools, or universities.

(3) Student ID card (Please return it before leaving Japan)

 

Note that we cannot return any tuition fees you have already paid.
