We aim to realize a sustainable and equitable society. To achieve this, we analyze the necessary social systems and effective intervention methods for facilitating changes in people’s behavior using techniques from behavioral economics and experimental economics.

Choices that enhance sustainability for future generations often impose temporary burdens on those of us living in the preset. In social psychology and experimental economics, the acceptance of personal loss for the benefit of others is referred to as altruism. Viewed this way, issues of sustainability, such as energy conservation, can be understood as a matter of our current altruism towards future people. We will explore effective interventions that can enhance our understanding of altruism towards the future.
To achieve a fair and just society, it is crucial to create an environment where individuals can fully utilize their abilities, regardless of gender, race, or other factors. To do this, it is important to understand people’s attitudes and perceptions related to others and institutions, as well as to recognize characteristics specific to different genders and races. This study will examine these issues using datasets and experimental methods related to competition in controlled environments, such as sports.
In recent years, crime methods have become increasingly sophisticated, as exemplified by cases of fraud, creating a situation where anyone can become a victim of crime. This study will use experimental methods to investigate interventions that can improve people’s perceptions of crime and contribute to reducing crime victimization.
