As of June 1, 2023, “Institute of Food and Energy Systems (IFES)” was newly established within ACROSS, bringing the total number of research institutes to 12. Satoru SHIMOKAWA, Associate Professor of Faculty of Political Science and Economics, has been appointed as the director of IFES, and will carry out initiatives aimed at the realization of more sustainable food and energy systems both in Japan and internationally.
