留学レポート：ライス大学（アメリカ合衆国）

創造理工学研究科・総合機械工学専攻　博士課程のGirolkarさんが、2025年12月から2026年3月まで、アメリカのライス大学に留学し、Tayfun E. Tezduyar先生の指導のもと、複雑な形状を有するタイヤの構造解析研究に取り組みました。

４. 派遣プログラムの内容・目的について

Visiting Professor Tayfun Tezduyar at Rice University to carry out research related structural analysis and simulation of tires wit complex geometry.

5. 研究活動・学習成果について

Attended lectures from Prof. Tezdyar on Isogeometric Analysis and Space–Time methods. Carried out research on Incremental Potential Contact and its application and implementation in my research framework. Attended seminars offered by Rice university on various interdisciplinary topics.

6. 海外での経験について

I got to experience life at a prestigious university in USA. Attended various cultural events like Shephard Music School Orchestra, Houston Rodeo, and socializing forums at the university. I also got an opportunity to learn about the academic culture in the US by meeting other students and professors.

7. 今後の進路等への影響、今後の目標等

This program helped me gain a new perspective on the academic cultures from around the world. I understood the skills and knowledge sought out by industries outside of Japan. Along with my own research, I learned about other disciplines that it can be branched out to.
