Data Engineering
Various types of data are produced everyday and made accessible from network. Database technologies are essential for storing and sharing such rapidly growing data. I am interested in database research and web information systems which utilize databases. My particular interests include database query languages for retrieving various types of data, query processing for efficient retrieval, as well as thinking new ways of information sharing from social aspects. Security and privacy technologies for safe information sharing are also of my interest. I am actively collaborating with oversea researchers.
