本研究の目的は、経済と安全保障に関わる問いに対して、実証的に新たなエビデンスを提示することで、経済安全保障に関して学術的・政策的に貢献することである。今年度は特に、サプライチェーンを通じた企業取引を含んだ経済モデルを日本のサプライチェーン関係・貿易関係の大規模企業データにあてはめてシミュレーションすることで、貿易途絶の影響を推計する。また、2国間貿易・投資のデータを利用して、中国の一帯一路政策に対して日米欧諸国からの貿易や投資がどのように反応しいているかを推定する。また、これらの結果を基に一般向けの書籍を執筆し、研究成果のアウトリーチを行う。

The objective of this study is to contribute to both academic research and policy discussions on economic security by providing new empirical evidence on the relationship between the economy and security. In the current fiscal year, we will estimate the impact of trade disruptions by simulating an economic model that incorporates firm-to-firm transactions through supply chains, using large-scale firm-level data on supply chain linkages and trade relations in Japan. In addition, we will analyze bilateral trade and investment data to assess how trade and investment flows from Japan, the United States, and European countries have responded to China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Furthermore, based on these findings, we plan to write a book for a general audience as part of our outreach efforts to disseminate the research outcomes.
