Detangling complexity of industrial clusters and inter-firm networks: Big data analysis and network science
■セミナ概要（アブストラクト）
Understanding how industrial clusters may have emerged and how inter-firm networks within various industries are formed is of fundamental importance. Various critical issues ? industrial resilience against disruptions, diversity in regional clusters, firms’ adaptability to changes, survivability and efficiency, et cetera ? may all influence/be influenced by the network structure. There are many theories, metrics, concepts and techniques developed in network science, which have not hitherto been sufficiently applied to such issues.
This presentation demonstrates results of network analysis of big data on real-world inter-firm relationships and their dynamics, and discuss the potential development of such approaches to essential issues around industrial progress.
