2. Some specific courses may require separate fees.
3. From the second year on, the School expenses and other fees include Tuition, Library Fee, Faculty Annual Fee, and Waseda University Student Health Promotion Mutual Aid Association Fees (Student Health Insurance Fee). In addition, JPY 40,000 for the Alumni Association Membership Fee (automatic enrollment in the Alumni Association for up to 10 years after graduation) is required for the fourth year.

Scholarships

Students enrolled in the School of Political Science and Economics can take advantage of the wide variety of scholarships offered by Waseda University.

There are separate scholarships for Japanese and international students.
Scholarship programs available for international students are listed below. Programs vary every year, so please note that the programs listed below may not be available in the particular year of your study. These scholarships are awarded to privately financed international students. Government-sponsored international students and students whose tuition is being paid by a foreign government or scholarship organization will not be eligible to apply for these scholarship programs.

For scholarships for students in other categories (Japanese nationals, permanent residents, long-term residents, spouses of Japanese nationals or permanent residents), refer to the website of Scholarships and Financial Assistance Section (available in Japanese only).

1. Prior to Enrollment

Screening for the scholarships listed below will be performed along with application screening. Eligible recipients will be notified at the time of announcement of document screening results or enrollment procedure. There is no need to submit a separate application.

Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program

WASEDA University Center for International Education

Waseda University is participating in the Asian Future Leaders Scholarship Program (AFLSP). The AFLSP awards scholarships to high-calibre Asian students who wish to study outside their home country or region at one of BXAI’s partner universities.
