On May 12, 2024, Professor Detey presented a paper entitled “Ce que le locuteur natif sait et ce qu’il ne sait pas, ce que le locuteur natif fait et ce qu’il ne fait pas : enjeux pour la didactique de la prononciation à l’heure de la parole artificielle” (“What the native speaker knows and knows not, what the native speaker does and does not: issues for pronunciation education in the time of artificial speech”) in the SJDF2024 International Conference held in The University of the Ryukyus (Naha). During the General Assembly of the SJDF (the Japanese Association for French Education), Professor Detey was appointed as “Councilor” of the SJDF along with the Past SJDF President Professor Noriyuki Nishiyama (Kyoto University) and Dr Eric Molay (Academic Attaché of the French Embassy in Japan).
