Message

My research topic is “Challenges faced by Chinese technology enterprises in overseas marketing and references from Japanese technology enterprises”.

The background of this research is the unexpected encounter of Chinese companies in overseas market in recent years. Apart from political issues, there are also incidents like the activities of destroying Chinese companies’ 5G towers in the UK. I believe this is a marketing problem, resulting from simply applying the Chinese experiences without a thorough consideration of the local situation.

These remind me of what happened to Japanese technology enterprises in the 1980’s in the US. Their products were boycotted back then, but from the 2000’s “made in Japan” has become welcomed again. What Japanese enterprises have done to make this happen and how such experiences may be applied to get the Chinese enterprises out of the current trouble is the core part of my research.
