The first Global Management Program (GMP) Forum was successfully held on April 25th, 2023. The event started with Professor Hirota’s overview of the agenda for GMP in 2023. The overview provided GMP students and prospective students with insights into the program’s objectives and activities for this year.
Student committee members hosted the main event of the forum. Three teams of third-year students presented their research on three highly relevant and important topics: the future of the Japanese entertainment industry, the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on work, and diversity within organizations. After each presentation, attendees of the events gathered in groups and engaged in stimulating discussions on each topic, exchanging ideas and perspectives. As a large number of international students also participated in the forum, the discussion session provided students with good opportunities to share opinions from diverse perspectives and communicate ideas in English.
The meeting concluded with the student committee members’ introduction to other resources and activities available for GMP students. A social gathering organized after the forum allowed GMP students to further their discussions, network, and build friendships and community.
