Special Exhibition: Stage Production of Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World
Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, a novel by Haruki Murakami, was published when he was 36 and has gained widespread popularity worldwide. The story unfolds two narratives simultaneously: a serene, fantastical world and a thrilling adventure. This work will be staged for the first time ever, directed and choreographed by Philippe Decouflé and starring Tatsuya Fujiwara.
Ahead of the stage production, starting in January 2026, we are holding a special exhibition where visitors can experience the world of the novel. The exhibition features a diorama of the “End of the World” from the novel, as well as photographs from past stage adaptations of Murakami’s works. (Click the images to enlarge.)
