QS World University Ranking 2024: Ranked in Top 13.3%

According to the QS World University Rankings 2024, announced on June 28, 2023 (Japan time) by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds, Waseda University was ranked in the world top 13.3% among the ranked universities.

Employer Reputation: Ranked 24th in the world

Among the indicators of this ranking, Waseda University was highly evaluated in the “Employer Reputation”, ranked 24th in the world.

To realize “Waseda Engagement“

Under our philosophy of “We must have the ambition to contribute not just to one person, one family, or one country, but the entire world”, we will analyze the results of this ranking, and utilize it actively as an opportunity to evaluate and improve our future measures and initiatives in order to realize “Waseda Engagement”.

As we declared in the Medium-to-Long-Term Plan Waseda Vision 150, “Cultivating global leaders who can work for people throughout the world no matter where they are”, gaining the high reputation continuously every year in “Employer Reputation” is the result of our perpetual effort of fostering and producing students bases on the founding spirit.

While continuing the flamework and reform stance of Waseda Vision 150, we announced a new initiative “Waseda Vision 150 And Beyond” in January 2022 as the direction we aim for, which looks ahead to the world in 2050.  Its basic idea is to become a university where people throughout Japan in 2040 and people throughout Asia in 2050 will believe that “studying at Waseda University is the most effective way to become a global leader who can provide own solutions to the problems which have no simple answer that people face.”

Waseda University will continue to nurture students with “resilient intellect”, the ability to think for oneself about problems that have no clear answer in order to derive evidence-based solutions, and “flexible sensitivity”, the ability to have a global perspective and accept diversity, and thereby cultivate professionals who contribute to the peace and development of human society.
