President Kamata visits burial site of founding president on Waseda’s 136th anniversary

Waseda University celebrated its 136th anniversary on Sunday, October 21. On this special occasion, the great-grandchildren of founding President Shigenobu Okuma, current President Kamata, former President Nishihara, executive board members, trustees, members of Congregation, professors and staff visited the burial site of Shigenobu Okuma. They also pledged themselves to contribute to the development of Waseda University at the site. After which, they visited the peace monument by the side of Okuma Auditorium where they presented bouquets of flowers and prayed for peace.
