On February 2, Waseda University celebrated the beginning of Memorial Hall’s reconstruction at Toyama Campus.

Built to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Waseda Universty’s founding, Memorial Hall has been used as a venue for various occasions including entrance and graduation ceremonies, and was the fencing competition arena for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. The new hall, which is scheduled to be completed by March 2019, will feature a multipurpose sports arena that has study facilities for students and spaces for ceremonial events.
