Making Vietnam a “second Japan”

I dreamed of studying abroad as a junior high school student. Now that I am in Japan, my life is full of discoveries and I learn something new every day. I sometimes wonder if this is all real or just a dream.
I came to Japan for the first time four years ago. It was my first time leaving Vietnam, my first time on an airplane, and my first time living on my own. It was the beginning of a life full of new experiences. Japan is a truly developed country and everything from trains and skyscrapers to bidet toilet seats are high-tech and sparkling clean. I hope that someday I can share my experiences with family and that people in Vietnam will one day enjoy a convenient and comfortable life.

I was surprised to see people leaving one side of the escalator open for those in a hurry and was impressed by Japanese people’s consideration for others
I hope to promote good relations between Japan and Vietnam and turn my home country into a “second Japan.” I work at the International Community Center (ICC) because I want to introduce Vietnamese culture to many people. I held a “Vietnam Festival” event in the spring and collaborated with many organizations including the Vietnam Embassy. The whole event was a valuable experience.
I would like to continue doing my best to promote understanding between Vietnam and Japan and share the wonderful aspects of Japan with my home country.
