Re-election of Presidential Election 2018

On June 14, the Presidential Election 2018 to select the next president for the University was held and all votes for each candidate were counted. Among the three candidates who stood for the election, Professor Yoichi Shimada from the Faculty of Law received the largest number of votes. However, as Professor Shimada did not receive votes from at least 50% (i.e. at least 1,817) of the total number of voters, a re-election will take place on June 28 between the top two candidates with the highest number of votes (i.e. Professor Yoichi Shimada and Aiji Tanaka) to select the new president.
