Rugby player Ayumu Goromaru, figure skater Shizuka Arakawa, and Paralympian Mami Sato… What do they all have in common? They are not only stellar athletes, but they are also Waseda graduates. At Waseda, we ensure a supportive environment for competitive student athletes through initiatives such as the Athletic Center. However, you do not have to be an athlete to be a part of Waseda’s sports community. We welcome anyone who shares a passion for sports. If you are aspiring to be a sports journalist, a team manager, or a trainer, this is the right place for you.

Our commitment at the School of Sport Sciences includes: making internship opportunities available for students seeking hands-on experiences, maintaining state-of-the-art facilities and instruments for research, and fostering future leaders in all aspects of sports through courses taught by experts at the forefront of the field.

Below, here is what our students say about the courses and seminars at the School of Sport Sciences, with encouraging messages for those considering applying to the School. We hope these testimonials will help you take a quick look into what we have to offer.
