From February 15-26, the Waseda Gallery will host the “Contemporary Art Exhibition China” which features contemporary works by faculty and assistants from the Beijing Film Academy, Nanjing Normal University, and Waseda University. The exhibition explores the possibilities of one of art’s oldest mediums, paper. Examples include works that use rust and egg whites on Anhui rice paper, works with unconventional allusions to calligraphy, as well as works drawn digitally and printed onto rice paper. The exhibition features nine prominent artists at the forefront of Chinese contemporary art. Please stop by when you have the time.
