The Waseda community is extremely saddened by the devastating impact of the massive landslides, power outage and damage triggered by the powerful 6.7 magnitude earthquake that hit Hokkaido on the morning of September 6. We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected.

To students currently in the affected area, your safety is our top concern. Please keep your professors and school office informed about your safety. You are urged to exercise caution and be careful of the possibility of an aftershock.
