[For International Students] Want to succeed in Japan? "Getting to Know Japanese Companies" series
Job hunting typically begins with self-analysis and industry/company research, but gathering information can be challenging for international students. They may not even know what industries exist, or what kinds of companies are within each industry. Furthermore, many international students struggle with questions such as: what kind of talent do companies seek? What do they expect from international students? What kind of contributions can they make if hired? Are there senior employees with similar backgrounds?
Therefore, we have been hosting the "Getting to Know Japanese Companies" series of industry research events since 2023, inviting leading companies from various industries. From 2026, not only our university but also Keio University, Chuo University, Hosei University, Meiji University, and Rikkyo University are scheduled to participate jointly.
At this event, recruiters from partner companies will introduce their industry, management philosophy, global talent recruitment policies, and approaches to talent development. Foreign employees (including graduates of this university) who are currently working at these companies will also share their job-hunting experiences, reasons for joining the company, and what they find rewarding about their work. This is a valuable opportunity for international students to deepen their understanding of global companies in various industries. Interviews with the foreign employees who spoke at the event are also available on Career Center website. Please be sure to check them out!
