What is Waseda Weekly?

This is the official University web magazine published by the Waseda University Student Affairs Division. Student staff are also active in reporting and writing, and articles are delivered from a student perspective.

(From a Waseda University Student Monitor) "Only by reading this can you call yourself a true Waseda student (laughs)! It's that packed with content! I especially recommend it to new students who are not yet accustomed to university life!" "It's a must read for enjoying life as a Waseda University student to the fullest." What about course registration and classes?

Register for required courses and choose electives and free courses. Be sure to check out the university-wide open courses that allow you to study a wide range of academic subjects! We also recommend choosing courses that aim to acquire university-wide minors or qualifications. You can check the syllabus for information on the teaching method (face-to-face, online, or on-demand), grading (daily attendance and quizzes), and whether or not there are final exams or reports. You can check and inquire at the office of your faculty or graduate school or the official university website, "Kouhai Navi."

How do you spend your long vacation?

It's a chance to try things you normally can't do, such as student club activities, volunteering with WAVOC, and studying for qualifications. It's also a good idea to try short-term study abroad with Waseda's rich study abroad program and broaden your horizons! You can also take advantage of part-time jobs, travel, internships, and university facilities such as the library to try your hobbies and interests. Please try to find a way to spend your time that suits you.

Student staff: Hinari Ukiya, 4th year student, School of Culture, Media and Society. Born in Chiba Prefecture. Graduated from Senshu University Matsudo High School.
