Hello everyone, how is your summer holiday going?
The summer holidays this year have been very different from usual due to the Novel Coronavirus, and we’ve been unable to go abroad or even meet with other people. In the autumn semester, though some classes will be conducted in person, most will still be conducted online.
So in that case, we have decided to hold a 2nd ICC Online Lounge as soon as we can!
The previous online lounge was very popular, so this time we have decided to hold Japanese and English editions on different days.
・If you want to enjoy meeting new people.
・If you want to improve your language skills.
・If you are looking for more people to chat to.
・If you want to switch off from classes during your lunch break.
Then you need to come along to the ICC online lounge.
Let’s experience a simulation of the ICC Lounge and enjoy chatting and meeting new people!
It’s fine to be nervous when talking to someone you suddenly met for the first time.
We will distribute topic sheets to help you introduce yourself and get your conversation started so please use them and enjoy yourself. If you ever have a problem, then there will be ICC staff on hand to support you so please don’t worry.
※The URL for the meeting room, participation rules and how to use the room will be sent to you by email using the address you use to apply.
Program
1.When you enter the room, the ICC staff will check your name.
2.We will then show you to a breakout room (there will be 6 people at the maximum per room.)
3.When you enter the breakout room please introduce yourself and say why you came to use the lounge. After that, please feel free to talk about whatever you like.
4. Every 30 minutes the breakout room members will be shuffled randomly.
5.The ICC staff will notify you when the lounge is closing.
