What comes to mind when you hear “Bhutan”?
Bhutan is known for its measure of “GNH”. “Gross National Happiness” is used to measure its citizens’ level of happiness as a basis for managing the country. For this reason, many of you may be familiar with the fact that Bhutan is recognized as the happiest country in the world.
Many people may think of Bhutan as having an idyllic image, with scenery of untouched nature or profound belief in Buddhism. However, there are also other aspects of Bhutan in which we have to explore in order to learn what life in Bhutan is actually like.
This December, the ICC will be hosting a lunch event with Royal University of Bhutan students visiting Japan!
This will be a special opportunity, where you can learn about Bhutan directly from Bhutanese students who you don’t have much chance to meet even in Waseda which has the highest number of international students.
Come and join us for an exchange with them! You will also get to see the students dressed in their traditional clothing.
Don’t forget to bring your lunch!
