Slovakia is a country of beauty, history and fabulous culture located in the heart of Europe.
Now at the ICC, we present to you an evening all about this fascinating land!
Slovakia is a country well known for its castles and beautiful scenery, home to 6 UNESCO world heritage sites and some of the oldest examples of central European architecture still standing. There will be presentations by Slovak students at Waseda about the history and culture of Slovakia with a particular focus on its exceptional architectural heritage.
Slovakia also has a long tradition in arts and particularly folk dance. At this event, performers from the dance group “Valaška”, who have performed both in Japan and abroad, will give a performance of Slovak folk dance for you to enjoy.
On top of all that, a staff member from the Slovak Embassy in Tokyo will give a short Slovak Language lesson, and there will also be a chance to taste delicious and rare Slovak wine for free if you are over 20!
Don’t miss out, come and join us to learn more about this wonderful country at the crossroads of Europe! We’ll be waiting for you!
