The Diet Building is the center of Japanese politics. Though when you see the debates on TV or political commentary in the news, it can seem like a completely different world to the one we live in. However the Diet Building is actually a place you can visit and see very easily! On this tour you can see up close rarely seen areas like the actual Chamber of the House of Representatives.
After the tour, we will take a stroll through the magnificent front gardens of the Diet Building, ending at the Japan Parliamentary Museum which hosts exhibitions of historical papers and records of the Diet all the way back to the Meiji Period. This is a great chance to broaden your knowledge of Japan while talking and mixing with fellow students from many different countries and backgrounds. Who knows, you might even make some great new friends as you walk and talk.
