Japanese Calligraphy Workshop ～ Try your hand at this timeless Japanese art! ～ (Sept. 27th)
Enjoy a performance from our special guest calligrapher.
Then try writing your favorite kanji or your own name beautifully with a calligraphy brush and ink set.

Ikebana Workshop -Try your hand at the Japanese art of flower arrangement-
(Sept. 29th)
Ikebana is the traditional Japanese art of arranging flowers for display. For this Ikebana event, a teacher from the Ikebana school – Sogetsu School – will give an Ikebana demonstration followed by an Ikebana workshop, where you can try making your own display.
After the workshop, you’ll be able to take the flowers with you as souvenirs that you can enjoy in your home! This is a great chance to see up close the skill of a professional Ikebana teacher and receive instruction from her directly.

ICC Photo Scavenger Hunt (Sep. 21st & 25th) – Discover Waseda and complete missions in your own way with international friends! –
Discover Waseda in teams of both Japanese and international students, going around the campus and completing various given missions. Make friends who you can hang out together with for a whole afternoon, or for the rest of your campus life! Prizes given to the winning team!

Japan Quiz Challenge -Make new friends and find out more about Japan’s attractions-
Come along to the ICC and make new friends while trying your hand at a quiz game just like the ones on TV!
There are many unique and amazing things about Japan that international students and even Japanese students don’t know.
Have fun trying to answer questions about trends, food, sights and more of Japan with your group members and enjoy mixing with the other fellow participants! There will be free drinks & snacks for all participants as well!
