Colombia is a hidden treasure of Latin America. Located in the south-east of the continent facing two great oceans, it is the land of delicious coffee, rich biodiversity and a diverse cultural tradition.
This past year marked a milestone for Colombia with the signing of the peace accord which ended the long-suffering conflict, and the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to President Juan Manuel Santos. With these great steps, Colombia is now looking to open its arms to the world and push to the front of the international stage over the next few years.
For this event, with the support of the Embassy of Colombia, we would like to invite you all to learn a little bit about this still hidden gem of Latin America. There will be a variety of presentations about Colombia, an opportunity to learn to speak Colombian Spanish, and even a cafe exchange time where you can chat directly with the Ambassador while trying some Colombian treats prepared by the embassy’s own chef!
Don’t miss out this rare chance to feel like a diplomat yourself and enjoy the hospitality and culture of Colombia here in Japan!
