This spring, teaming up with the Indonesian Students Association of Waseda and the Indonesian society in Tokyo, the ICC is bringing you a night of exotic dance and music as well as various activities that allow you to catch a glimpse of the diverse country of Indonesia.
Straddling two continents and the equator, Indonesia consists of over 13,000 islands with hundreds of different ethnic groups and living languages.
It’s national motto reflects this well – “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity)”.
For this ICC event, Indonesian students will perform many traditional dances that are usually performed at international ceremonies.
There will also be an acoustic song performance by the Indonesian finalist of the previous ICC Karaoke Contest, and following that is the always popular traditional clothing fashion show.
As well as all that, you will have the opportunity to feel the sensation of hearing some famous Japanese folk-songs being played using traditional Indonesian musical instruments.
Last but not least, there will be a chance for you to participate in our stamp rally!
Collect all the stamps at the various cultural booths where you can learn about languages, scenic spots and traditional games of Indonesia, and you might be able to win some fantastic souvenirs from Indonesia! Don’t miss this chance to experience all of the features offered in this event and get to know more about this wonderful country!
★Stamp rally participation is only available for the first 100 people★
★There will also be free Indonesian snacks provided for the first 100 people★
