Founded in 1887, the Kao Corporation is a major chemical manufacturer with locations worldwide and was named one of the “100 Year Businesses” currently supporting the Japanese economy. It is the world’s number one manufacturer of toiletries while it also produces detergents for household and business use, as well as cosmetics and food products. The cosmetics division has developed popular items like the “Kao Sofina” range among others. For this ICC event we’re planning a tour of Kao Corporation’s factory. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the manufacturing process of a company that deeply effects our everyday lives. There will not only be a general explanation but you’ll also get to try cosmetic products, get a skin and hair check and even receive some products. After the tour you can also visit the nearby Kameido Shrine and Tokyo Skytree. So if you’re interested in historical Japanese enterprises, chemical products, cosmetic products or even if you’d just like to find out more about your own skin and hair, then don’t miss this rare opportunity!
