The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) includes 10 diverse nations each with its own distinct language, culture and history.
Stretching from Myanmar in the north to Indonesia in the south the entire region has a combined population of over 617 million people.
These countries have always been common holiday destinations and more recently have become popular with students studying abroad.
Even though we hear a lot about southeast Asia on the news, what do we really know about this fascinating region’s peoples and cultures?
For this ICC event, international students from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand will showcase their countries and cultures through a variety of presentations, photos and videos. Afterwards there’ll be a cafe exchange time where you can directly chat with southeast Asian students currently studying at Waseda!
Don’t miss this chance to learn about diverse southeast Asian culture!
