“How do Chinese people feel about counterfeit goods?”
“How do Korean people react to their friends’cosmetic surgery?”
“Why do Japanese people like drinking parties so much?”

Have you ever had any questions like these?
“We are close and yet distant”, “I know about but I don’t understand”.
Students from Japan, China and Korea all probably feel the same way.

In order to remedy this situation, the year before last the ICC began the “Speak your Mind” camp series where East Asian students could come together and discuss freely any questions they had about each
other’s societies.
The camp proved so popular that a lottery had to be held and unfortunately not all applicants could take part.

It was for that reason that the ICC decided to hold this one day spin-off event!

So why not sign up for this unique and original ICC event and take part in the lively “Speak your Mind” discussions!
Whether you took part in the “Speak your Mind” camp or not, apply now and join the fun!!

※The event may change to two countries (eg: Japan-China) depending on the nationalities of the participants.

say what’s really on your mind and what you truly think.
2. Communicate while respecting the other person’s culture
and being considerate of their feelings.
3. Talk about your personal experiences and what is close
to you rather than distant national issues.
4. Focus on individual opinions rather than generalizations.
5. Don’t end your discussion with a general comment like
“That’s indeed a difficult question”. Rather, share your
true feelings and ideas with others in a sincere and
constructive manner.
