Kamakura is a popular historical area only one hour from Tokyo.
It’s famous as the start of the samurai government, and the place where the culture of ZEN prospered as well.
This trip will be guided by the members of JAPAN MANPO CLUB (hiking club) who will be providing commentaries in Japanese while you walk through the temples and traditional buildings.
Explore Japanese culture and history with Waseda students from all over the world on this enjoyable ICC field trip!
*As the objective of this trip is for participants to mingle and interact,we will be moving together as a group and not individually.

After the program ends you are free to walk around the shopping area or head to Enoshima. Enjoy wandering around with other students! - Destination

ICC Field Trip: A Historical Walk to Kamakura (May 31)] - Note) Please only apply once you have checked the date and are certain that you can attend on the event day, May 31st. Please avoid casually applying and then cancelling, as this causes significant inconvenience. 11:00am Meet at JR Yokosuka Line, Kita-Kamakura Station (For those who wish to go with ICC staff, meet at 9:15am in front of Okuma Auditorium. Our staff will be holding ICC flag and waiting for you)
11:00am Walk for 2 hours around Enkaku-ji, Kencho-ji and others.
1:00pm Break into groups for lunch then finish at Kamakura
