Serbia, Europe’s unsung treasure situated right in the heart of the Balkan Peninsula. It is a country full of natural beauty, with ancient mountain ranges intertwining with lush valleys as well as Roman era ruins and traditional churches decorated with colorful frescos. It is a nation that overflows with culture and national pride.
Being a relatively small country with an area about the same as the island of Hokkaido, interpersonal relationships are highly valued, and Serbians are said to have a very diligent national character, something it has in common with Japan.
Located at the crossroads of southeastern Europe, Serbia’s unique culture has traces of both eastern and western culture as well as Islamic influences.
This ICC Serbian Festival is packed full of fun and exciting contents!
There’ll be guest speakers from the Serbian Embassy, Serbian music and dance performances, a quiz from Waseda’s own Serbian students and finally you’ll have a chance to relax and chat to the guests during the cafe time with some Serbian snacks and Jam!
