“Why did you become vegan?” “Isn’t it hard not to eat meat?”
Have you ever found yourself wondering these simple questions?
The vegan movement is spreading across the world. And here in Waseda University, more and more students are choosing to live as vegans or vegetarians.
However, it is also true that in Japan, there is still a limited understanding of veganism and the vegan lifestyle compared to Western countries.
This time, we will invite Mr. Ed Winters, a world-renowned vegan speaker, to talk about the significance and challenges of veganism, and its connection to environmental issues.
You will also have a chance to try actual vegan foods.
Before deciding whether or not to become vegan, why not take a moment to think about a society where humans, animals, and nature can coexist in harmony?
We hope this can be an opportunity to learn about veganism as a way of thinking and living, and to reflect on the value of diversity.
We are looking forward to your application!
