Do you like meeting new people and chatting casually with other students? All in your native tongue!? Then register to be an ICC language event coordinator and share your language with your fellow students!
This is a great chance to make new contacts on campus and connect with others who can speak your language. No Japanese language skills are required and whether you help out every week, every month or even just once a semester is up to you!
If you’d like to help out with any of the following events then register now!
- ICC Language Lunches (Intermediate level speakers and above)
Come to the ICC Lounge during lunchtime (12:15-12:55pm) and chat in your language while you eat your bento! It’s as simple as that! No preparation required! Just enjoy chatting freely over food!
- ICC Game Cafes (English: Apr. 23th, Chinese: Jun. 27th) (Advanced level and above)
Once a semester the ICC holds English and Chinese game cafes! Enjoy playing fun and easy games like Pictionary and Charades in English or the highly popular “Sanguosha” card game in Chinese!
- ICC Chat Cafes (Native or fluent speakers only)
The ICC Chat Cafes are an hour and a half of casual conversation in a designated language. It’s open to both native speakers and those wishing to practice a language. Coordinators will play an ice-breaking game and generally facilitate conversation during the event.
