Hello Everyone!
Although April is when the majority of new students enter Waseda, in September there are also a lot of new students from a variety of countries and regions entering Waseda. In fact, over 1,000 international students from countries all over the world will come to Waseda this fall.
At the ICC, we are recruiting event supporters to help us carry out the Japanese Cultural Week events to welcome the new students coming in September.
Event supporters join ICC student staff in making and holding events at the ICC. Becoming a supporter is a great way to get a new experience that is both fun and useful for expanding your network on campus. You’ll be able to take pride in successfully helping produce an event that brings a smile and new opportunities to the students who join.
If you are interested in trying something new, if you enjoy working with others toward a common goal, if you want to get to know more Japanese and international students, then whether you have been to an ICC event or not,by all means join us!
Purpose and Outline
To help local and international students coming to Waseda for the Fall Semester to have a smooth transition into campus life, provide them with useful information, and enable them to enjoy Japanese culture and customs. Supporters will start helping to produce these events in early September.

- Aug. 28th (Thur) 9:00am: Application deadline (Through Waseda-net Portal) (Through Waseda-net Portal)
- Aug. 29th (Fri) 2:00-5:00pm: Supporter meeting (participation required) @ Faculty Lounge, 1st Fl., Bldg. 7 (There will be a mixer after this meeting)
- Aug. 29th (Fri) until the event day – Preparation period for the event

(1)ICC special campus tour (English & Japanese)
(2)Japanese cultural experience events (trying on a Yukata, tea ceremony experience, etc.)
(3)Competition event of making sightseeing plan for Tokyo
(4)Casual event where students can practice using Japanese
(5)Cafe-style event with the main goal of making friends
