Autumn is here—and so is Undokai!
Undokai, a Japanese school sports day, is a major highlight of the school year, often held in autumn. Teamwork is at its heart: students practice together and prepare cheers ahead of the big day.
Now, we’re bringing this tradition to Waseda, where students from diverse backgrounds come together.
You’ll join one of five teams (団,dan), each represented by a different color, and take on a variety of activities as the teams fill the venue with color.
Get moving, cheer each other on, and share the fun across languages and cultures.
There will also be plenty of time to chat with your teammates over flag-making and lunch.
What matters most isn’t winning or losing but coming together as a team and getting to know one another.
You don’t have to be good at sports—just come and have fun!
Come meet new teammates—and leave with new friends.
Let’s make some special memories together!
